Potter Group reaches award finals

Potter Group reaches the final 3 in the Medium Employer of the Year category at the Cambrian Training Apprenticeship, Employment & Skills Awards 2018.

During 2017 we began working with Cambrian Training to support a number of our staff in completing level 2 and level 3 apprenticeships in Sustainable Resource Management.

Cambrian Training Company recently held their second annual Apprenticeship, Employment and Skills Awards in the International Pavilion at the Royal Welsh Showground to coincide with National Apprenticeship Week. There were 18 finalists from across Wales who attended the event and Potter Group were shortlisted as one of 3 finalists in the Medium Employer of the Year category. Potter Group received a certificate for being one of the finalists and Greg Burgess the Company Health & Safety Manager attended the event to collect the certificate on the evening.

“This has been a fantastic opportunity for 9 of our staff members to develop skills and knowledge relevant to their role whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification. All 9 staff members are now nearing completion and 2 further employees who recently joined us have also now started the apprenticeship.” said

“These awards celebrate the achievements of individuals and employers who have exceeded expectations during their engagement and commitment to training and skills programmes” said Katy Godsell, Cambrian Training Company’s Marketing Manager.

“All the finalists have shown a unique approach to training and development and have demonstrated initiative and enterprise, innovation and creativity. We are fortunate to work with some outstanding employers and learners throughout Wales as we deliver a range apprenticeship, skills and employment training programmes on behalf of the Welsh Government.”
